Simultaneous connections
How many devices can use one subscription at the same time.
Why it matters
It is the limit people hit first. A household with two laptops, four phones, a TV box and a console needs eight, and many plans cap at five.
What most explanations leave out
A router installation counts as one connection regardless of how many devices sit behind it, which is the standard way around a low limit. Providers advertising "unlimited" apply fair-use limits in practice; the number is generous rather than infinite.
