What data does KotoVPN collect?
None that identifies you. There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising network and no account system, so nothing persists between visits and no profile exists. What remains is the request log the host keeps in order to serve a page, which we do not query and have built nothing to read.
A site about privacy tools that harvested its readers would be an odd thing. This page states what actually happens when you load a page here.
What this site sets
No cookies are set by KotoVPN. There is no advertising network, no cross-site tracking pixel, no session identifier, and no account system, because the site has nothing to log you into.
Pages are static HTML and CSS with no third-party scripts. Nothing on a page loads from an external host, so viewing this site does not expose your address to any company other than the host serving it.
Server logs
The site is served by Vercel, which keeps standard request logs — IP address, user agent, requested path, timestamp — as part of operating any web server. We do not build profiles from them and do not combine them with anything else. Vercel’s own data handling is governed by its privacy terms.
Outbound links
Following an affiliate link sends you to the provider through a redirect that may attach an identifier telling the provider the referral came from us. That identifier records the referral, not you: it does not carry your name, address or browsing history, and we receive no identifying information back — only aggregate counts.
Once you are on a provider’s site, their privacy policy applies, not ours. That is worth reading in this category specifically. Which links are commercial is stated next to every one and listed in full on the affiliate disclosure.
If you email editor@kotovpn.online we keep the message so we can reply and, where it produces a correction, so the corrections log has a record. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
What we could not identify you from even if we wanted to
This is the part most privacy policies leave implicit, and it is the part that actually matters. There is no account system, so there is no username, email address or password associated with reading this site. There is no cookie, so there is no identifier that persists between visits or follows you to another site. There is no analytics tool, so there is no record of which pages you read in what order.
What remains is the request log the host keeps in order to serve a page at all, which contains an IP address and a timestamp. We do not query it, we have built nothing that reads from it, and it is not joined to anything else because there is nothing else to join it to.
Your rights under GDPR and similar law
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to its processing. In practice the answer to the first question is almost always “nothing”, because the only personal data we can hold is an email you sent us and the host’s request logs.
To exercise any of these, email editor@kotovpn.online from the address concerned. If your enquiry concerns the request logs rather than correspondence, the request needs to go to the host, since we have no interface for extracting or deleting individual entries — and a policy claiming otherwise would be describing a capability that does not exist.
Children
This site is not directed at children and collects nothing that would identify one. There is no signup, no profile and no content aimed at under-13s.
Jurisdiction and hosting
Pages are served from Vercel’s edge network, which means the machine answering your request is the one nearest you rather than a fixed location. Static files carry no personal data; the request logs are handled under Vercel’s own terms and retention schedule, which we do not control and do not extend.
Changes
If analytics are ever added, this page will name the tool and what it collects before it goes live, rather than after. A privacy page that quietly gains a paragraph is not a disclosure. Material changes will also be noted in the corrections log, so there is a dated record outside this page of when the terms changed.
