Renewal pricing
The price charged when an introductory multi-year term ends and the subscription auto-renews.
Why it matters
It is usually substantially higher than the advertised rate, and it is the number nobody compares because almost no provider publishes it prominently.
What most explanations leave out
A headline of $2.19 per month on a two-year plan can renew at three or four times that. The advertised figure is a customer-acquisition price, not the price of the product. Diary the renewal date when you subscribe.
