Proton VPN (Securitum, May 2026), NordVPN (Deloitte, December 2025) and PureVPN (KPMG, 2024) have all been re-audited within the last two years. FastestVPN has one audit, from January 2023, never repeated — so it describes a service as it was three and a half years ago.
All four providers here have been audited at least once, which makes “has an audit” a useless filter. Recency is the filter that still bites. An audit describes the infrastructure on the dates the auditor looked at it and says nothing about the state of it two years later, so this page requires a report from within the last twenty-four months. That single condition removes one of the four.
